Boom Boom Boom
Even brighter than the moon-moon-moon!
Fireworks are going off outside and I cannot get that song out of my frickin’ head.
Also, we’re watching the AMAs and I am offended by how baaad everyone is. But Pink was awesome. Raise your glasses, everyone! The new year is here!

You know how Erin is towards Holly?
That’s kind of how I am with Natalie Portman.
Meh.

Christmas Break Day 2: What I did today.
…
…
…
Oh, I downloaded Inception for Papa because it’s a travesty he hasn’t seen it.
…
…
And some Easy A for the sibs.
…
Then I reacquainted myself with the ladies of ABS-CBN: Alyna, Mara and Clara, Kristine (although apparently that’s not the actual name of any lady character) and my personal favorite: Sabel.

Stress
That’s what you get when you look at residency program requirements in the middle of the night.
That’s what you get when you see the words “must belong to the upper 50% of their graduating class as shown by their academic standing” on the friggin’ requirement list.
Really, St. Luke’s? Really? You want to go there?
Also: I have to befriend at least 2...

How will you spend your Christmas break?
Home in Leyte! I haven’t been home in a year so I’m terribly excited to see everyone again. We actually have an extended month-long break after the Christmas vacation (the benefit of taking my elective last summer), so I’ll also probably vacay someplace else, perhaps with the block. But I’m really just excited to go home. I’m going into internship next year so this is...

With the desire to positively influence the health-seeking behaviors of the youth, and to tap the literary gifts of would-be writers nationwide, this competition was launched last December 2009 and concluded just this July 2010. With the theme “Tabi-tabi po”: Exploring Philippine Health Myths, the competition was met with enthusiasm and outstanding support — receiving a total of...

I'm seriously appreciating OB-Gyne...
Which is weird, because I automatically hate toxic rotations.
But if ever I do pursue this, I’ve ruled out any possibility of doing my residency in PGH. Slavery is not my cup of tea. No way, Jose.

The LR/DR will never get boring.
A women who had an imminent abortion came into the LR yesterday. My RIC wanted for the bag of waters to rupture spontaneously, so I encouraged the mom to bear down. I guess she took my advice a little too seriously (which took me by surprise - those moms never listen to me!) because a few minutes later her BOW popped quite dramatically, with amniotic fluid spraying everywhere, missing my face by...

Dec. 3, 2010
I was on a toxic high-risk Friday duty at the OB admitting section.
I would’ve liked to have been sitting in the plush seats of the Fleur de lis Auditorium, watching the annual explosion of talents of the UP College of Medicine.
But if I really had it my way, I would’ve liked to be home celebrating with the family as my little brother turned 12.
Oh well. Sacrifices.

Fact:
Pwede kang magka-abdominopelvic tuberculosis kapag umubo ang boyfriend/asawa mong may PTB habang nakaharap siya sa pwerta mo tuwing oral sex.
Yup. Need-to-know ‘yan kanina sa SGD namin.
Of course, that elicited a classic Carms retort: “Ang kinky naman ni ma’am.”
So guys, don’t forget to include that in your PHLs.
